Van Morrison: A Great Irish Gift to the World

He’s moody, he’s marvelous, he’s cantankerous and a genius. Long may he continue to compose some of the most beautiful pop, rock, soul, spiritual music that you are ever likely to hear in this world or the next, cos I reckon (just like here on earth) his music will be played every where you go.
Having seen him in concert on a number of occasions – one brilliant, back in Dublin years ago, the rest ranging from “I’m not interested in being on stage” to “I’m REALLY not interested in being on stage,” I would not spend a penny to see him live again, but I’ll continue to listen to the magical music he creates.

Churchill’s comment about Russia could be applied to this son of Belfast. “A riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.” But what an enigma!
